I add natural wax from bees to my skin bars, creams & balms to provide a protective coating or barrier against wind, sun, cold and heat. I add rich oils such as camelina, wheatgerm, macademia nut, sunflower, almond, apricot kernel, shea butter and emu to my products, depending on my
client's needs. Other bath and body businesses
do not add different oils to a variety of products due to their high expense, they usually add ONE to 2 cheap oils to their products. Then, the one oil that they use, having one function like hydration, is sold to someone who may not even need extra hydration, and the client uses the product and notices pimples, blackheads & rashes, due to the unnecessary addition of oils being applied to their skin. You have to know that every ingredient has a SPECIFIC job to do. For example, if someone calls me and tells me that they are experiencing irritated, dry & scaly skin...I know what ingredients I need to put together to help that client with that skin ailment. I may mix Shea Butter, which is a GREAT moisturizer, with Shea Nut Oil, which is a lighter version of Shea Butter to make sure that it is not too heavy....I may then mix that with Almond Oil, which is an oil used for dry sensitive skin to ensure that my client does not have any additional irritation or sensitivity....and lastly add Vitamin E to speed up the healing process...THAT SIMPLE!! If you are buying from someone who does not understand this concept, or does not make their products in this way, PLEASE BUY ELSEWHERE! They are either too lazy to research the ingredients or too cheap to buy the ingredients needed to treat your skin, and do you really want to buy products from someone who has ANY of those traits?

So, I would love to help you and your skin/hair, to the best of my ability. I have been there & I found that African ingredients benefited me best. These ingredients have been used for thousand of years, by people who have the same color, texture & thickness of skin that I have. Ingredients like Shea Butter, myrrh, rose geranium & other essential oils are made in Africa & I use these same ingredients in my recipes.
Shea Butter is such a magnificent nut, that I believe that it can soothe all skin types. Big corporations that claim that they add this luxurious butter in their products, only add about 2%. Most of my items contain around 60-90% Shea Butter.
Big corporations & other bath & body companies also have a substantial amount of water in their products. They CLAIM that they help with moisturizing, but how is that, when most of it is water? My intent is to help your skin/hair....not dry it out.
Also, alot of people in my culture use baby oil & petroleum jelly which smothers the skin & locks in dirt, oil & bacteria.....
THIS IS NOT FOR OUR SKIN!! Baby oil contains mineral oil, which covers your pores and does not allow your skin to breathe, causing pimples, rashes, blackheads, etc. Baby oil is meant for babies bottoms to prevent moisture buildup from diaper wear. I would not trust this on my baby's bottom. It contains synthetic oils that are heavy & harmful! This only complicates things, by not allowing the skin to cleanse itself....hence diaper rashes! Petroleum jelly is the same.....the name should say it all...
PETROLEUM????? If you have ever used petroleum jelly, you probably automatically felt how heavy it was on your skin. It covers the pores & makes it impossible for the pores to breathe, cleanse or heal themselves. My Natural waxes are different, they provide moisture barriers, locking in moisture, yet still allow the skin and pores to breathe, cleanse or heal themselves. We must get wise at what we are putting into & ON our bodies...it is enough that we go outside and absorb smog, pollution, UV rays, etc. into our skin. There are studies being done to see if this causes cancer, diabetes and other chronic diseases.
